Self-Portrait (repost)

I've posted this photo before , but it seemed a nice one to end with. I've come to the end of the material that I want to share he...

In memory of Dick Hibbert (1933-2010), I am posting selections from his art. He painted in oil, was an avid photographer, did watercolors, and sketched in pencil, ink, and charcoal.   You can send me email by addressing it to my first name at mydruthers.com. --Chris

Flowers in a vase (Sketch)

Flowers in a vase.  dated 4/15/97.  I like the way RTH concentrated on
the background and drew minimal details of the flowers themselves.

Backyard sketch

Sketch of a backyard scene.  (Undated)  The scene feels familiar to me, but
I don't know where it was.  From the format, the style of the signature, and
where we found it, I'm reasonably sure it was done before we went to Japan.
I'd guess it was done between 1960 and 1965.

Beyond the Tracks (painting)

Tempura on Paper.  15" x 20".   From RTH's works in college,
so this was probably done in Eugene, OR around 1959.

Sea Shore (abstract)

An abstract in oil.  JLH says RTH was thinking of a sea shore aerial view when he painted this.  I'm not sure where the painting is currently.  I think it's about 24" square.
