Self-Portrait (repost)
I've posted this photo before , but it seemed a nice one to end with. I've come to the end of the material that I want to share he...
In memory of Dick Hibbert (1933-2010), I am posting selections from his art. He painted in oil, was an avid photographer, did watercolors, and sketched in pencil, ink, and charcoal. You can send me email by addressing it to my first name at mydruthers.com. --Chris

Red Grapes (Watercolor)
From the collection of recently located works. Dated April 5, 2008. (7" x 11") I hadn't realized that RTH had done any recent watercolors. I assumed this was painted shortly after college until I noticed the date.

Watercolor of a flower arrangement in a shallow bowl. Undated, but I'd guess late 60s when JLS was taking an ikebana course

Stone House (watercolor)
This is the most detailed of RTH's watercolors that I'm aware of. It's hanging in JLH's apartment. JLH thinks this was sketched on site near Eugene, Oregon, while a few of us waited in the car.

Beached Rowboat (untitled watercolor)
I did my best to remove the shadows from paper curl, but you can still see it. The vertical stripes above the hills, and above the water are less visible in the original, but I coudn't find a way to remove them in scanning.

Stone building-watercolor
JLH has this hanging in her apartment. I didn't realize it was by RTH until I was photographing all of his art and noticed the signature. It's the most detailed and colorful of his watercolors that I've found.
